We have a long list of established buyers for high quality American paintings by major artists from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. We have private collectors looking for signed pieces by artists such as: William Merritt Chase, Rembrandt Peale, Benjamin West, Frederick Remington, John Singer Sargent, John Frederick Kensett, Winslow Homer, Mary Cassatt, Martin Johnson Heade, Albert Bierstadt, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Joan Mitchell, Jackson Pollock, Jean Michel-Basquiat and many others. With very few exceptions, such as original works on paper in excellent condition by major artists such as Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso or Roy Lichtenstein, we don’t handle prints of any kind. We broker only original paintings, watercolors and drawings by major, well-known artists, many of whom we have listed and pictured on this web site.

When in doubt as to whether a piece you or a relative of yours owns is something we would be interested in privately brokering on your behalf, please feel free to give us a call. If what you have isn’t something for which we have buyers, we will try to suggest another outlet for you if we can. Keep in mind when calling or emailing us that the more detailed information and clear photographs we have from which to work early on, the faster we can determine if our Brokerage Services are the appropriate venue for selling your item (s). We provide a simple and easy to use Artwork Evaluation and Information Form to facilitate this process.

Winslow Homer “Snap the Whip” 1872

As with all the artwork we broker, we only deal with signed, authenticated pieces. If your painting has not yet been authenticated by one of the recognized experts on your artist, we can usually assist you in that process as a part of our no cost brokerage services. If we agree to broker your item, we will work to obtain all of the proper history, authentication and other “paperwork” needed to achieve a successful sale for the best price to you. Expert authentication, condition reports and a “provenance” as detailed as possible, are necessary steps in the professional brokering of major fine art, and we take that process very seriously.

PLEASE NOTE: We only broker original art in the form of paintings, watercolors and pastels done by major artists from c. 1700 – 1995. We do not broker any form of limited edition or mass produced print or numbered edition prints. We do not broker any unsigned art.
