| The buyers we deal with on a regular basis include many who collect European art from modern master artists dating to the 19th and 20th centuries. We also have buyers specifically interested in "old master" artwork dating from the 16th through 18th centuries. However, major "old master" art sometimes poses a few difficulties in selling as far as the areas of authenticity, condition and provenance are concerned; though this is certainly something we can help you deal with. We have access to the experts needed to do all the preliminary assessment to determine if the piece you're wanting to sell is something we can broker on your behalf. | Eugene Boudin seascape |
With few exceptions (such as first printing Audubon in excellent condition or silkscreens by major artists such as Andy Warhol), we don’t handle prints or lithographs. We broker only original paintings, watercolors and drawings by well-known artists.
As with all the artwork we broker, we only deal with signed, authenticated pieces. If your painting has not yet been authenticated by one of the recognized experts on your artist, you will eventually need to pay to have a written authentication done. If we agree to broker your item, we'll help you obtain the proper written authentication. Expert authentication is a necessary step in the professional brokering of fine art, and we take that process very seriously. It protects everyone involved.
When in doubt as to whether a piece is something we'll be able to broker for you, please feel free to contact us. If what you have isn't something we have buyers for, we'll gladly suggest another outlet for you if we can. Keep in mind when calling or emailing, that the more detailed information and clear photographs we have to work with early-on, the faster we can determine if our Brokerage Services are the appropriate venue for selling your item. We also provide a simple and easy to use Artwork Evaluation and Information Form to facilitate this process.
If after reading the information provided on our site, you still have questions regarding our services, we invite you to use this simple contact form to send us general questions, and we'll be happy to try to answer them for you.
For questions regarding a specific item in your possession, please take a minute to complete our short online Artwork Evaluation & Information Form or Lamp Evaluation & Information Form. These forms will provide us with the type of information we need to better assess what you have, and do our best to evaluate its potential for interest to our buyers.
The images presented below are merely representative of the type of artwork we're seeking on behalf of our buyers, or which we may have evaluated or brokered on behalf of our clients in the past. Our home page also provides a list of European artists by name–this list is by no means complete however, as there are hundreds of major European artists which our buyers collect, but space simply doesn't permit us to list them all.
