 A lovely seascape beach scene done in 1892, oil on canvas, by Chase is represented here. Chase studied many places and painted numerous types of scenes using various styles. However, between 189l to 1902, Chase taught classes in the open-air style ("plein air") at Shinnecock Hills, Long Island. It was during this period that some of his finest works were painted. |
